Community Guidlines

ADHD Bristol Collective is an organisation of volunteers facilitating support for the ADHD community in Bristol via in-person meetings and events, our WhatsApp groups and social media.

Providing a safe and accepting space is important to us and so we ask that members approach each other with kindness, empathy and respect. This is particularly relevant with regards to respecting diversity and inclusion, including but not limited to gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and disability. Harassment, bullying, and/or hate speech of any kind is not tolerated.

Please respect people’s privacy and confidentiality - do not disclose anyone’s personal information with anyone outside of the group. If you do feel the need to discuss things brought up in meetings, remember the principle “share the story not the name”.

Furthermore, while it might sometimes be appropriate to contact people individually outside of the group, please seek permission to do so via public channels beforehand. This helps ensure no-one is made uncomfortable by unwanted or inappropriate interactions.

Before posting links to advertisements for any products, services, or events in our WhatsApp groups, please seek permission from the group moderators first. This helps us maintain the focus and quality of our community space.

ADHD Bristol Collective is run by a small group making up the “Operations Team” whose role is to keep on top of admin, organise events and ensure things keep moving smoothly and safely. Please understand that we are not therapists, and volunteer our personal time to help out. This is a support group not a service and as ADHDers ourselves, we ask that people manage their expectations of what the group can provide.
