An ADHD-informed look at perimenopause & menopause. Gain practical, evidence-based tools from nurse Elli Bliss to navigate the change.
Why does perimenopause feel different for the ADHD brain? 🧠✨
Menopause is often framed as something that happens in our 50s. But for many, perimenopause begins in the 30s or early 40s—and for those with ADHD, these hormonal shifts can feel like a total system overload.
When oestrogen fluctuates, it directly impacts dopamine. The result? Focus, emotional regulation, memory, and energy can take a massive hit, often leaving people feeling misunderstood, mislabelled, or entirely overwhelmed.
In fact, 1 in 10 women leave their jobs due to a lack of support during this stage. For Neurodivergent individuals, that risk can be even higher.
It’s time to change the conversation. Hormonal change is not a decline; it’s a transition.
Join nurse, educator, and coach Elli Bliss for an evidence-based, compassionate, and ADHD-informed look at perimenopause and menopause.
The Brain Chemistry: Exactly what happens to ADHD symptoms when hormones shift.
The Workplace Impact: Why tasks feel harder and how to advocate for your needs.
Practical Strategies: Evidence-based, trauma-informed tools that honour both hormonal and neurodivergent needs.
Whether you are navigating this yourself or supporting a colleague, partner, or friend, this session offers the language, validation, and clarity you deserve.

Ever wondered if plants could actually help your ADHD brain?
We're teaming up with AmberLuna Apothecary for a practical, hands-on evening led by Ellen Rowland — Medical Herbalist, Aromatherapist, and neurodivergent specialist based right here in Bristol.
Ellen brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work, and this workshop is designed specifically with ADHD nervous systems in mind. We'll explore how everyday herbs like rosemary, lavender and passionflower can support focus, calm, emotional regulation and sleep — whether or not you take medication — with guided aroma sampling and real research to back it up.

Receiving an ADHD diagnosis often brings a lot of complicated feelings and emotions . Many adults—particularly those diagnosed later in life—have internalised years of criticism, misunderstanding, and repeated experiences of perceived failure.
This workshop will integrate evidence‑based therapeutic models to help participants
- Understand shame through multiple therapeutic lenses
- Gently unhook from self‑critical narratives
- Develop emotional regulation and self‑compassion skills
- Move toward acceptance without minimising real challenges
Acceptance here does not mean resignation—it means acknowledging ADHD as part of one’s neurobiology while reclaiming agency, dignity, and self‑worth.
